How do I get a Bitcoin wallet?

Great question.  There are many places where you can get a BitCoin wallet.

Let me suggest a great resource that will help you getting started:  https://bitcoin.org/en/getting-started

Step 2 in that resource will help you select a free BitCoin Wallet that bests fit your needs:  https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

I personally have and use 5 wallets at this time.  The first and fourth one aren't listed in the above resource, but they are still highly recommended.

1. BlockChain:  Clint considers BlockChain the most secure as they are not also acting as a BitCoin Exchange and that way are less likely to become overly regulated.  https://franklik.es/BlockChain

2. Coinbase:  Coinbase does not only offer free wallets but does also offer Exchange services.  Some people dislike all-in-one solutions, others prefer it.  I personally use it only as a wallet.  https://franklik.es/CoinBase

3. CoinPayments:  We use CoinPayments to process BitCoin payments we receive and also as our company wallet.   https://franklik.es/CoinPayments

4. Exodus:  I personally use also a free Exodus software wallet that is installed on my computer.   https://franklik.es/Exodus

5. Trezor: Lastly, I use a Trezor hardware wallet to keep large amounts of Bitcoin securely offline.  https://franklik.es/Trezor

The last two wallets are also best to be ready for any kind of Bitcoin Hard Forks.
